After the success of Nike’s Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” in 2014, it would have been easy for Kanye West to have similar success with red-based sneakers when his partnership with Adidas began. However, during the early years of Adidas Yeezy, red was somewhat avoided as Kanye mostly opted for neutral tones except for pops of color on models like the Yeezy Boost 350 V2. That’s changed recently, with red-dominant drops such as the “Vermillion” Yeeezy Foam Runner and “Slate Red” Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 CMPCT, as well as the upcoming Yeezy Boost 700 in “Hi-Res Red.”
As the hue name suggests, this version of the runner comes mostly dressed in a vibrant red, with some of the same black, gray, green, brown, and orange accents we’ve seen on previous colorways. A more muted red fills the midsole, while the lighter hue picks up at the outsole.
According to Yeezy Influence, the Yeezy Boost 700 “Hi-Res Red” will be released on June 17 for $300.
UPDATE (13/06): Adidas has officially confirmed that the Yeezy Boost 700 “Hi-Res Red” will be released this Friday, June 17 via Confirmed, Adidas.com/Yeezy, and at select Adidas Yeezy retailers for $300.
