Since the dawn of Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker line, the Swoosh has commemorated the player’s alma mater. Recently, the Air Jordan 1 Mid surfaced in an all-new “University Blue” makeup.
At a quick glance, the retro looks like those of the past, most recently Off-White’s take on 2018. Closer inspection, however, reveals slight differences in the upper and grip assembly. sole, with the underlays visible at the toe, midfoot and collar. donning a lighter shade of the titular blue hue. Profile swooshes feature black trim that complements the “Air Jordan” logos on the ankle side flap. Finally, the oft-imitated outsole also opts for the dynamic “University Blue” style, complementing the UNC-appropriate style.
No firm Nike.com launch date has been disclosed by the brand, but that should change soon. While you wait, enjoy official images of the upcoming pair.
