Air Jordan is one of the most iconic sneaker brands in the world, with millions of loyal fans impressed with its top quality performance and fantastic design. These sneakers have been around since 1984 and have become some of the most attractive shoes on the planet. The Jordan brand has recently increased its level of shoe production as it moves towards releasing more unique styles that cater to different tastes while continuing to maintain a strong foundation established by its first-generation models. It produces different types of sneakers ranging from classic to limited editions with special versions like the Air Jordan 11 “Concord” and the Air Jordan 13 Retro “Black Toe”. The Air Jordan 7 “Quai 54” should be released soon. This article takes a closer look at the Air Jordan 7 “Quai 54” retro, highlighting the unique features, quality, availability, as well as the current market price.

The Air Jordan 7 “Quai 54” will be released in July 2022

The Air Jordan 7″ Quai 54 is set to release in July this year and is expected to be a sneaker of a special nature. Like previous iterations of Team Jumpman’s Quai 54 line, the upcoming lineup takes inspiration from the public, gamers and part of the popular contest. The Air Jordan 7 had the “True Red/Raptors,” “Cardinal,” “Bordeaux,” and “Hare” as its initial colorways. This upcoming footwear and apparel collection features a palette of colors that closely resembles the flag of France. According to HypeBeast, the low-cut Air Jordan 7 “Quai 54” incorporates a classic Jordan-brand color scheme with Quai 54-specific detailing to underscore the strength of this tournament. It has shades of navy blue, white, and red covering the shades hiding the hoop-lit options. The sneaker range also includes West African-inspired designs, with floral and star prints embellishing the Diamond Shorts sold by the Jumpman team.

Air Jordan 7 “Quai 54” will have a Parisian flair

The Jordan brand has a deep history with La Ville Lumière! Nike and Jordan are longtime partners of Quai54, the most popular streetball tournament in the world. The event is held annually in Paris, France and hosts the best teams from around the world in a highly competitive outdoor skills competition. Jordan’s Quai 54 Basketball Tournament has taken a break due to COVID-19, but is scheduled to resume July 9-10, 2022. This brand will be showcasing special editions of its shoe silhouettes, including the Air Jordan 7″ Quai 54″ and the Jordan Luka 1. , to coincide with these festivities. Originally released in 1992, the Air Jordan 7 is MJ’s seventh basketball shoe brand. He acquired two consecutive NBA championships in this iconic shoe. The Air Jordan Quai 54 series is an annual tradition for Jordan Brand to produce exclusive sneakers for their tournament in Paris. It is one of the unique releases in terms of superior design and colorways. A black textile and leather upper with the conventional Quai 54 logo embroidered on the tongues of each shoe are some of the standard features of this Jordan shoe collection. The badge pattern on the upper pays homage to the tournament logo, creating striking visuals.

France themed colors

The Air Jordan 7 “Quai 54” is a retro version of the Air Jordan shoe featuring a French themed colorway of neutral indigo, white, bright crimson and light bone color combination. The upper of the sneaker features a dark blue-based suede set atop a white midsole and a colorful solid rubber outsole. Additionally, the sneaker features bright Crimson branding on both the collar and tongue and is completed with dual branded insoles and unique packaging.

High quality shoes with a sense of durability

The Air Jordan 7 “Quai 54” is made with premium materials including premium leather and full-grain calfskin. Ultimately, these sneakers will be available in different styles and color sets, allowing buyers to choose the one that best suits their preferences. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, this Air Jordan sneaker features heel stabilizers, leather toe caps and the innovative Huarache sock liner. It has an added ankle strap to provide more stability and a striking multi-colored nubuck on the seatstays, mudguards, Swooshes and heels. According to Sole Retriever, the Air Jordan 7 “Quai 54” will be released by Nike through the SNKRS app and select retailers worldwide, online and in-store. It will come in men’s sizes, selling for $225. The uniqueness of the Air Jordans has made them the go-to sneakers of the past few decades. This shoe is not only reserved for professional basketball players, but has also become a staple among the casual “streetwear” crowd over the years. Even the most influential people buy these shoes because of their style and status. The exclusivity and popularity of Air Jordans over other shoe brands has made them listed as a form of currency. The Nike Air Huarache may not be the most coveted silhouette among discerning sneaker collectors, but it continues to dominate the wardrobes of casual collectors everywhere.

For her latest ensemble, the 31-year-old Tinker Hatfield design appeared in a simple ‘White’ and ‘Black’ ensemble. The majority of the pair – from the neoprene base layers to the foam midsoles – indulge in a “colorless” look that allows even the slightest contrast to stand out even more. Dark hits land on the Air Huarache logos at the top of the tongue and the waffle-pattern tread underfoot, then steal some thunder from the mostly ‘white’ shoe, but they’re arguably overshadowed by the milky stripe and semi-translucent wrapped around the heel. The “NIKE” branded component brings a touch of experimentation to a rather simple outfit, further expanding the sneaker’s style catalog.

No company Nike.com Launch details have been leaked by the brand, but that should change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.

In sneaker related news, the Air Jordan 1 Reimagined “Chicago” is set to release on October 29th.

It’s been about a decade since the Air Huarache absolutely took the casual shoe scene by storm. Once a rare item on store shelves, sought after only by 80s/90s Nike shoe fanatics, the Huarache has since become a staple in the metropolis, worn by students, doctors and everyone in between.

Since its big comeback in 2013, the Nike Huarache has become a staple in retail, with Nike regularly releasing new colorways that match the current seasonal look. Enter this “Laser Orange”, which injects a much-needed level of brightness into an all-white leather upper. The citrus hue shows up on the neoprene inner bootie, heel clip and Huarache medallion on the tongue, but Nike makes the right call by keeping the soles that clean all white.

Nike.com and partner retailers will carry them soon, so stay tuned for updates.

Legend. Inventor. Godfather. These are all words any sneaker lover worth their salt would use to describe Nike designer Tinker Hatfield. But, perhaps a more fitting moniker for the man behind shoes like the minimalist Nike Huarache or Nike Mag straight out of science fiction is “architect.”

Not just because he’s actually an architect by training, but because he also figuratively designed some of the most iconic lines in sneakers. Air Max? Changed the trajectory of Nike and has its own brand vacation. Michael Jordan’s most beautiful shoes on the court? The original blueprints were sketched by Hatfield and now remixed by streetwear culture’s greatest collaborators from season to season, decades later.

From inventing the elliptical trainer to imagining self-lacing sneakers before the technology even existed, the man’s resume is miles deep. “I swear designing a shoe is always a totally new experience,” Hatfield said. “I never really got tired of designing new sneakers.”

Paradoxically, his secret to maintaining design momentum for over 40 years has been to periodically stop working on shoes, in order to give new impetus to his creativity. This is the moment he finds himself in now.

“I have this theory that a skilled designer could probably sit down and do a decent job in a variety of areas,” he said, adding that he recently designed a unique electric motorcycle with the co- founder of See See Motorcycles, Thor. Duck. Last year, he also entered the NFT space by designing digital art to benefit athletes at his alma mater, the University of Oregon.

One of the new arenas that Hatfield is getting into is that of beer bottles. That’s right, the world’s most famous sneaker designer created a limited-edition bottle featuring Michelob Ultra to celebrate the 75th NBA Finals. This is the second time Hatfield’s has collaborated with the company, the designer is donating his design fees to a Chicago-based charity and this year’s collectible bottle will also come with a Hatfield-designed NFT.

Here he talks more about the project, what’s on his design bucket list, and shares his thoughts on NFTs in sneakers.

I know you are very judicious in the projects you take on, so why was that bottle of beer something you wanted to do?

The whole project is bringing some much-needed money to Champs in Chicago, so that’s really the number one goal for me. I’m still on the lookout for away projects from Nike from time to time and they usually don’t turn into anything, but Micheloeb Ultra is doing a great job with the NBA. Their whole “It’s all about the joy of life” strategy fits my personal approach to life, so it’s been fun, but also ultimately rewarding to secure much-needed funding for Champs.

Is it refreshing for you as a designer not to work on a shoe or something that is used for athletic performance?

Yeah. I have this theory that a skilled designer could probably sit down and do a decent job in a variety of arenas. I actually just did a motorcycle – I worked with See See Motors here in Portland – and we did a unique electric motorcycle. Between the two of us, we ended up with a motorcycle that did very well at auction and also raised a lot of money for charity. This kind of work is fun because it’s hard to step into someone else’s arena and it works well.

Is there something on your bucket list that you want to design, but haven’t had a chance to do yet?

I used to be a licensed architect and still do today, but you just need to hire someone who’s licensed to stamp everything and get the crossed out T’s and dotted I’s. The reality is that I love architecture and still love doing it. We actually have a location gearing up for Bend pretty soon. And like most architects, I would like to design furniture. I think I could make fun furniture, but I never got around to doing it. So I would like to design furniture.

You once said that you really don’t get designer block because you’re always engaging in new experiences. What kind of experiences do you bring into your work now?

In my case, the past year has been even slower than last year. We all need to do a better job of adapting to the pace of life and the way we move through the day. I think I have become much better than before. For me, learning to design a few extra things was a nice break from everyday life. That said, I swear designing a shoe is still a totally new experience. I never really got tired of designing new sneakers or shoes.

This collectible bottle comes with an NFT and you have done NFT work in the last year. What do you think of how this is changing the industry?

That’s a good question that deserves a good answer. The crypto world is still a bit foggy for me. I understand how to create an object of an artistic nature and know that there are different companies that can monetize, authenticate and set something in motion to sell, auction, etc.

I know that working with the University of Oregon and with great people has been a positive experience and money has gone to deserving athletes, not just stars. So crypto works well for that, at least for now. So we’ll see how things evolve and work their way through the system.

Do you see the NFTs adding a new layer to the sneaker collection?

Yes. Because the authentication process is very tightly controlled. If a consumer gets one or something out of 100, it may take on more value. That’s kind of how the system is built.

Personally, I don’t try to get so caught up in the business side or the intricacies of authentication, but I’m more caught up in trying to figure out what attracts people. What kind of art? What kind of stories are we going to tell? Is the story well represented in the art itself? There’s a lot of pending stuff, but it’s really fun to explore right now.

We’re in the middle of the NBA Finals and you worked with a player who was going to the Finals a lot in the 90s. Do you have any favorite memories of those celebrations?

I tried to stay away, quite frankly. Winning an NBA championship is obviously a very special thing to do, but you also do it with a bunch of other people that you train with every day or who train you every day.

I can design something for gaming or to be on people’s feet, but I don’t subscribe to the hanger approach. I feel like there’s an appropriate time to be a friend, and then there’s an appropriate time to be a professional, so that’s a philosophy that helps me not get too caught up in everything. this and helps others to be comfortable, especially the most famous people. They don’t really want to talk to you if you’re going to be weird.

You’ve designed for some of the best players in the game over the past 30 years. Is there a promising talent with whom you would like to do a new project?

I have to be kind of political in my job right now. The young athletes we see entering the NBA are bigger, faster and smarter than any class before them and we have our hands full trying to design products for these athletes who are like magicians. In fact, they want to be even faster, and we want to help them do that.

There’s a lot of science on what we’re working on right now and we have a great sports research center that helps us understand what improves the performance of a basketball player, a track runner or a footballer . All of this isn’t very well understood by the sneaker industry because they’re always looking for what’s cool, but I think what really makes sneakers cool are the stories about why which they work for an athlete and that’s what also contributes to hip and cool. of this one.

So it’s less about building around a popular personality and more about trying to solve a problem any athlete might have?

Yeah, I’m thinking especially of modern athletes who are so gifted that we have to slow down and make sure we’re doing the right thing around that athlete. But, of course, it has to be salable and do well for us to get a return on our investment. But most designers – I don’t think I’m any different – most of us are too busy to know what the results are because we’re too busy or we’re on the next problem to solve.

While the demand for sneakers has grown tremendously over the years, satisfying women in sneakers has been a slow and steady process. Sure, there have been more releases exclusive to the female sneaker shopper than ever before, but there’s more that could be done. While gaming enthusiasts are pushing for inclusivity, sneaker retail companies are playing a vital role in bridging the gap between customer demands and the brands themselves.

Luckily, there is a small but mighty group of women-owned sneaker stores that are paving the way for a brighter future in sneaker culture. Not only do they foster relationships and create opportunities that probably never existed before, but they also build community and invest in a customer base that will only grow in years to come.

In May, Nike hosted a panel at its Los Angeles headquarters as part of its Future 50 For Her event that discussed sneaker culture for her with the business owners and experts who know it best. “These women are agents of change, they are catalysts. They’re making waves in the sneaker space,” said moderator Karie Conner, vice president/general manager of North America Kids’ Business. “They go out of their way to be driving forces within the communities.” Read on to find out more.

Sally Aguirre of Sallys Shoes (El Monte, CA)

An OG in the sneaker industry with family roots in shoe sales, Sally Aguirre opened her boutique in 1988 at the age of 27. “A business down the street that was owned by men saw me opening a shoe store and they would come up to me and be like, ‘Oh no, you won’t have a sneaker account; you’re not going to have a Nike account,” she recalls. “But they’re gone and I’m still here.”

Her favorite sneakers: Air Jordan 11 Retro and Nike Air Max 90

What excites him most about sneaker culture“What excites me the most is the unknowing, the mystery. What are they going to design next? For me, it’s intriguing – something different, materials, textures, styles. It’s the unknown.”

For aspiring sneaker business owners: “I had a client come in the other day and she was like, ‘Hey Sally, how can I open a business? I have X dollars.’ And I said, “Make sure you have your financial stability to back up if you fall and make sure you have that passion for it.” It’s about believing in yourself and moving forward. We can do it. That’s how we got these beautiful ladies here.

Abby Albino of Makeway (Toronto, Canada)

In 2020, Abby Albino turned her love of sneakers and the NBA into a business by opening Makeway, Canada’s first and only sneaker boutique for (and entirely run and funded by) women. “To be able to work in basketball and have sneakers be a part of my life, both professionally career-wise and also passionately as well, has been awesome,” she says.

Her favorite sneakers: Nike Penny and P-6000

What excites him most about sneaker culture“The sneaker industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and that’s why there aren’t a lot of women in HQ. In the future, the more women who can impact culture, the more opportunities there will be. We always say Makeway is the first, but it’s definitely not the last women’s-only sneaker shop in Canada. So we’re very excited about building the Canadian women’s athletic shoe industry. »

For aspiring sneaker business owners: “The first thing we did before we even opened our doors was create think tanks about the pain points of being a woman in the sneaker industry as a consumer. We literally went through the list and we just said, ‘We’re going to fix this. We can fix this.’ Showing something new, fresh and innovative in the retail space has been very helpful in building the community and listening is definitely the priority.

I also think it’s really important to make sure women walk into our space and see themselves in all of our products. We love sharing our floor space with our big suppliers like Nike, but also providing opportunities for local women, especially at BIPOC. When we bring in a new supplier, we want to make sure our women can actually see themselves in those products. »

Beth Birkett of Union and Bephie’s Beauty Supply (Los Angeles, CA)

After getting involved in the sneaker and streetwear scene in the 90s as co-owner of Union Los Angeles, Beth Birkett went solo with Bephie’s Beauty Supply in 2020. “How can we empower ourselves by creating a diversified market? Birkett asks. “I really hope to inspire other women, especially black and brown women, to enter the creative world and create, whether it’s shoes, clothes or whatever. That’s really important and it really helps to move forward, not just the culture, but the world.

Her favorite sneakers: Nike Huarache and Union collaboration with Cortez, set to drop later in 2022

What excites him most about sneaker culture“What excites me the most is to see who the new leaders are going to be. It’s been really difficult for everyone for the last two years, financially; it’s been difficult for people to work and to keep their jobs. It’s the same with owning a business — it’s a lot of pressure, it’s a lot of stress. But I’m excited for the future. Once we get over this hump, I’m looking forward to see the rest.

For aspiring sneaker business owners: “It’s good to have mentorship. It’s like, when you’re having financial problems or even just problems that only women can relate to, being able to call someone like you Jennifer, or Abby, or Sally, and being like, hey, I live that, can you give advice or just be able to let off steam even. Your community is really important.

Jennifer Ford of Premium Goods (Houston, TX)

After living in New York, Jennifer Ford opened Premium Goods in Houston in 2004 – a store she said was long overdue in such a big Texas city. “The access that people had to sneakers in New York felt totally necessary to me in Houston,” Ford says. “Over the years I’ve seen a lot, but more recently the consumer who comes to the store is motivated, inspired and excited.”

His favorite basketball: Air Jordan 4

What excites him most about sneaker culture“I’m excited about what he’s becoming. Sneakers are now commonplace. A pair of sneakers can get you into the clubs; you can exchange it for other products. People who didn’t necessarily know where they stood, in corporate America, have found careers and businesses and a place in this world through sneakers and design. It just opens the doors to a lot of things that we didn’t know existed before.

For aspiring sneaker business owners: “This trip has not been easy for us. We don’t go to banks to get such easy loans to run our businesses. So the way we stay alive is through our community. It’s important for us to be able to give back to them, and they give back to us. It is essential to support women’s businesses because we are the leaders of tomorrow. If young women and women entrepreneurs don’t see people like us, they don’t believe they can do the same.

Julia Hogg from Wish ATL (Atlanta, Georgia)

Julie Hogg followed in her mother’s footsteps in retail, a buyer for Davidson’s before she became Macy’s, becoming a partner and CEO of Wish ATL. “I was always into shoes and clothes, but my love for sneakers started in sports,” says Hogg. “I also started my sports career with the Atlanta Hawks, so I got to experience the storytelling first-hand and I think that transformed my journey into what I do for Wish.”

Her favorite sneakers: Air Jordan 1 and Nike Blazer

What excites him most about sneaker culture“What’s really exciting to me is the innovation and creativity that’s taking place, not just from the design of the sneakers, but all the way to the method of release in stores. We have to fight against technology, and then there are new ways to get it into the hands of the community you serve. Not only are we seeing new things coming from the design side, but we’re also seeing a new understanding of how to bring them out.

On how to support small sneaker businesses: “Partnering with a brand like Nike is so special to us. They’ve seen us evolve and grow with the trials and tribulations of being a business, but they’ve been a partner in all of that growth. So they’re advisors, mentorships, questions, just navigating the landscape of this company together has been really great.

What happens when you take a pop culture icon and combine it with one of the most classic Nike silhouettes from the 2000s? You get the Air Presto x Hello Kitty the collaboration is set to release on Friday.

Hello Kitty is best known for her ubiquity in all facets of pop culture, from merchandise and toys to games, books and anime. The character has appeared on a variety of products since 1975 and has remained popular since its launch in 1975.

Of course, this isn’t Hello Kitty’s first collaboration with the Presto, as there was a limited edition collab in 2004, which has become something of a holy grail for fans of the character and the sneaker.

Of course, the Presto is no stranger to characters. When the sneaker was initially released in 2000, the marketing campaign included 13 different characters representing the initial series colorways.

The shoe was designed by Tobie Hatfield, the brother of legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield. The shoe, which could be considered the successor to Tinker’s Air Huarache and a predecessor of Tobie’s Nike Free, was originally going to be called the Air Comfy, and boy does it live up to that moniker. The pattern was originally introduced as a t-shirt for your feet, available in t-shirt sizes (S, M, L, XL) rather than traditional numeric sizes. This has been possible in part thanks to the stretchy sock-like material which also makes it an extremely light and comfortable sneaker to wear in all situations.

The shoe became an instant classic and its legend was cemented in part thanks to its relative elusiveness, as it was vaulted for a long time without any release. However, in recent years the shoe has enjoyed a resurgence, including as one of Virgil Abloh’s most popular pairs.”The ten» collection and in collaboration with Acronym among others.

The release will also include a capsule of Nike x Hello Kitty merchandise, From t-shirts to pants to hoodies, the perfect items for any Hello Kitty fan to pair with their new kicks.

The collaboration was released last month on Sanrio’s website, so maybe this build can be slightly easier to acquire than other SNKRS drops. Then again, who knows, Hello Kitty has quite a fan base. Good luck to anyone who wants a pair!

Although no longer celebrating a milestone anniversary, the Nike Air Huarache continues to be an important part of the Swoosh lineup.

Recently, Tinker Hatfield’s design appeared in a “cracked” finish reminiscent of the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan collaboration, with vibrant, summer-ready accents. Visible neoprene booties at the tongue and profiles revel in bright orange and rich blue, while the inner lining opts for an understated yellow finish. The Nike Huarache branding traditionally found on the tongue is replaced with a reworked mint logo that can be part of a larger Nike Sportswear collection. Underfoot, the waffle-pattern tread indulges in a semi-translucent look that lends personality to the yellowish flair that coats the traction.

No company Nike.com Launch details have been leaked by the brand, but that should change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.

The Air Jordan 3 is having a great year, with its “Fire Red” colorway returning soon later this fall. Spring 2023 also has some exciting offerings in store: both the “reimagined” as well as the yet-to-be-revealed “Mars.” And in between – in October, specifically – we can expect to see the shoe in an “Archaeo Brown” winter configuration.

True to its namesake, the shoe features the aforementioned brown across the majority of its upper. Adjacent accents then alternate between ‘Dark Smoke Grey’, ‘Fossil Stone’, ‘Light Bordeaux’ and ‘Cement Grey’, creating a much more diverse palette than past winter options. The materials, however, are surely just as rugged: premium nubucks make up the majority of the construction, the collar leathers are replaced with thick mesh, and the toe cap and heel counter are reinforced in a way that reminiscent of Sashiko stitching.

Take a look at these here. Currently, they are slated for October 8th, and will likely release until Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a retail price of US$210.

The Jordan Brand has picked out some of its fan-favorite silhouettes from the past and is gearing up for their return in 2022; the Air Jordan 7 in the “Citrus” colorway is one of them.

As of now, the remarkable Air Jordan 7 “Citrus” will land again on July 2, 2022. Fans looking at these silhouettes can expect them to arrive in full family sizes for their admirers of all ages.

The pair, which will be released in fall 2022, will offer adult pairs for $200. These shoes will be readily available through Nike’s e-commerce stores and select sellers.

Earlier this year, trusted Air Jordan news source zSneakerheadz shared a post on his Instagram handle that revealed the release date for the non-OG “Citrus” Air Jordan 7 colorway.

These pairs were originally discontinued in 2006, but as part of the AJ7’s 30th anniversary celebrations, they are set to return to shelves on July 2. In 2006, these shoes were offered for $135, which rose to $200, according to reports.

Although snapshots of the upcoming retro have yet to be leaked, images of the sneaker above show that the shoe will be similar to the 2006 launch.

The upper is fashioned with black suede, red and orange hits on the Jumpman emblem, tongue and midsole. Bright colors are used to accentuate the pairs. The attention-grabbing orange juxtaposition embroidery on the shoe was a striking detail that made them look incredibly good and stand out even more. The orange Jumpman logo is placed next to the red heel tabs.

The shoe sports perforations on the sidewalls and around the heel area, which have been deliberately designed to resemble the Nike Air Huarache model, which has also incorporated an inner sock that clings to your feet.

Tinker Hatfield, known for his Air Jordan designs, developed the Air Jordan 7, with the intention of keeping them “fresh and intriguing while maintaining sophistication”.

You’ll be able to get these pairs on Nike.com and a few select stores.

How did the Air Jordan 7 come about?

The Air Jordan 7 was first introduced in 1992 in five colorways: “Bordeaux”, “Hare”, “Raptor”, “Olympic” and “Cardinal”.

Michael Jordan’s signature shoe debuted without a visible Air unit or Nike Air branding on its heels for the first time after Tinker Hatfield took over the design department for the Air Jordan series, both of which served important visual components.

The AJ7 featured a neoprene inner bootie reminiscent of a Huarache and geometric tongue decoration deeply influenced by West African tribal culture. With the exception of the “Olympic” colorway, which featured Jordan’s “9” shirt number from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the AJ7s featured a triangle on the heel that had the “23” branding.

First seen in 2006, this J7 colorway is making a comeback this year 🔥The Air Jordan 7 “Citrus” is set to release July 2nd on Nike’s website and at select retailers for $200 👌 https://t.co/5IbH6llS4L

Jordan Brand officially retired the AJ7 in 2002, resurrecting the “Charcoal” hue and releasing an all-new rendition known as “French Blue.” The AJ7 “French Blue” featured a predominantly white top with blue, gray and black embellishments.

Jordan Brand reintroduced the retro AJ7 for the second run in less than a decade, with 2006 arrivals seeing the return of the “Cardinal” hue as well as brand new colorways like “Maize”, “Flint”, “Chambray”, “Pacific”. Blue” and “Citrus”.
