To celebrate Chinese New Year 2023, Nike is set to release a special iteration of the Nike Dunk Low as part of its “Year of the Rabbit” collection which includes this special edition Dunk Low. The Rabbit ranks fourth in the 12-year cycle of Chinese zodiac signs. For the Chinese, the rabbit is a tame creature representing hope and life for a long time.

Currently dubbed the Nike Dunk Low Year of the Rabbit, this Dunk Low is made from a mix of materials that includes fur on the Swooshes and tabs meant to mimic the fur we see on rabbits. Upon closer inspection, you will find symbols on the tongue tags that say “rabbit” in Chinese as well as rabbit designs on the lateral ankle and insoles. Metallic Gold lace dubraes emblazoned with “2023” and a two-tone rubber sole are also featured in this debut look.

The Nike Dunk Low Year of the Rabbit hasn’t been given an official release date, but we’re expecting it to drop in early 2023. Keep it locked for last-minute updates.

The Nike Air Max series has consistently released some of the most sought after kicks in the game. This time it’s the latest Nike Air Max 98 TL.

This month marks the return of the beloved Air Max 98 TL sneakers from the late 90s. The Air Max TL was released in 1998 and made its first commercial comeback. Frequent collaborators Supreme and Nike have joined forces once again to relaunch the Air Max 98 TL. The Air Max 98 debuted decades ago and is still an iconic shoe, and this update brings the legend back to life.

The iconic Air Max 98 makes a comeback

Back in 1998, when Nike and Supreme teamed up to remix the sneaker, streetwear fans went wild – many arguably calling it one of the best Air Maxes ever released. It’s not easy to overstate how historic the Air Swoopes were and remain. It stood out with an immediately recognizable strap allowing striking contrasting colors. Now, Supreme and Nike are revisiting this famous design in four new colorways: brown, pink, white and black.

The sneakers are available in four colors

There’s something about that iconic Swoosh that gives a sneaker a sense of legitimacy. It’s like an automatic seal of approval. So when you wear Nike you know it will look great. We especially love the simple and sleek white Nike Air Max pair with contrasting silver accents. The kicks come in four colorways, and each pair features synthetic leather and mesh upper bases.

Other details include 3M reflective TPU overlays, Supreme branding to the heel counter and mini-Swoosh branding to the midfoot. Additionally, the Max air-cushioned midsole and rubber outsole give the shoe a tonal look.

Whether you have too many or not, or this is your first pair of Nike Air Max, this sneaker is a worthy addition. These iconic sneakers are sure to be a closet staple.

Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers on the internet! We have a small offering of just seven shoes this week, but despite the small number, this list contains some pretty big collaborations. Supreme and Nike along with Balenciaga and Adidas have teamed up to bring us two highly anticipated drops that are sure to make someone’s sneaker of the year list.

Will these new collaborations be part of our end-of-year awards? We will see.

Aside from the big teams, we have solid picks from Nike and New Balance, but surprisingly nothing from Jordan Brand. Some Jordan dope drops are still slated for the coming weeks, so we haven’t heard the brand’s last this year. Let’s dive into the top seven sneakers of this week.

New Balance 550 Indigo Sea Salt/Rain Cloud Sea Salt

GOAT

Ever since Aime Leon Dore did drug New Balance 550, the brand has quietly produced colorways almost every week. These colorways generally follow a similar palette, white leather with colored paneling, but now New Balance is getting a little adventurous with the silhouette with this week’s Indigo Sea Salt and Rain Cloud Sea Salt colorways.

The Indigo is bathed in blue tones while the Rain Cloud gets that classic New Balance grayscale look. Both are dope and show just how versatile the 550 silhouette is. Turns out it has life beyond its classic white leather base construction.

The New Balance 550 Indigo Sea Salt / Rain Cloud Sea Salt are available now for a retail price of $120. Pick up a pair at the Flight Club.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Color Of The Month University Blue

Nike

Nike’s latest AF-1 colorway from their “Color of the Month” series is this handsome University Blue take on the classic sneaker. The entire upper of the sneaker is covered in University Blue along with the outsole with a white wraparound swoosh, midsole, and laces. As is usually the case with AF-1s, the simpler the better!

The tab says “Anniversary Edition,” but other than that, it’s just a classic AF-1 build done in a classic colorway.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Color Of The Month is set to release November 3 at 7:00 AM PST for a retail price of $150. Pick up a pair through the Nike SNKRS app.

Among the sneakers in the collection are the Triple S and the Sock Runner by Balenciaga, which perfectly combines the two aesthetics of the brand. A distressed Stan Smith is expected to drop early next year. It’s not a collab for everyone, but for fans of high fashion streetwear, it’s probably the best release of the year.

The Adidas Balenciaga collection is set to release on November 3 for an unannounced price. Tap the Adidas CONFIRMED app to shop for pieces from the collection.

Although used selectively thus far, the Swoosh has begun to infuse its lifestyle silhouettes with reinforced lace flip-flops ideal for the following fall season. After being rendered above the Air Force 1 and Air Max 90, Christian Tresser’s 1997 design takes on a wintery black and silver aesthetic.

Exploring a metallic finish, luminous silver hues cover the leather overlays of the upper construction and mesh of the tongue while its underlay renders the aforementioned textile in a jet black offering. Further mirroring the sock liner and pull tab pull tab, black and silver bungee cord laces match the lace toggle above while a cream clad sole presides underfoot. Using its various Swooshes as titular accents, light pink hues dress the latter in tandem with its vertical spine as the monochromatic scheme finishes with a silver Air Max unit.

Enjoy official images of the Nike Air Max 97 Lace Toggle “Metallic Silver” as we await the pair’s slated release in the coming weeks.

As a former member of the Jordan Brand NRG team, Frank Cooker sits on a treasure trove of never-before-seen mockups and legacy tributes residing in the Jumpman archives. Every once in a while, Cooker will take to Instagram to preview an exclusive pair that never made it to market, most recently giving us a first look at the never-before-seen Air Jordan 7 created in honor of the participation of Ken Griffey Jr at the 1992 Foot Locker. Slam Fest – a dunk contest for professional athletes once retired from the hardwood, including the likes of Deion Sanders and Barry Bonds.

Inspired by The Kid’s range of iconic “Swingman” silhouettes with The Swoosh – specifically the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Fresh Water” – the aforementioned AJ 7 reflects the color scheme synonymous with Griffey with the titular turquoise playing a part. dominant accent on the smooth silhouette. nubuck overlays while a jet black base sits below. White contrasts appear on the laces and the Jumpman collar insignia, while crimson hues rarely provide pops along the embroidered forefoot Swoosh and tongue.
