Despite the growing interest in retro merchandise (we’re looking at your Air Jordan), it would be a shame if the best sneaker design of all time came out in 1985, right?

The being formerly known as “Kanye West” is getting a lot of negative attention because of designs like the Yeezy Foam Runner, but at least he’s expanding the zeitgeist. Recently, Louis Vuitton has entered the laceless porous shoe space, offering a style somewhat reminiscent of Ye’s adidas option. Away from the casual space, the Swoosh has prepared the Nike Zoom Freak 4, which offers cutting-edge basketball technology for one of the most impressive athletes of the modern era. Even decades-old models have received refreshing updates from Travis Scott, Patta, and Salehe Bembury, with the latter helping to energize the New Balance 990v2.

For a look at all of this and more, check out our top headlines from June 18 through June 24 ahead.

The Nike Spark Flyknit may follow a design language rooted in mid-2010s running shoes, but it’s far from boring or outdated.

Recently, the silhouette – which may well have originated from the Nike ISPA lab – appeared in a mix of brown, orange and beige tones perfect for fall. The Flyknit construction on the upper resembles pairs of yesteryear, though the series of translucent sections and cutouts offer something refreshing. The most exciting part of the model, however, is the sole unit, which is ostensibly responsible for the “Nike Spark” part of the design’s name. Tech specs haven’t been shared by NIKE, Inc., but a look at the “layered” tooling suggests the use of a new foam compound, along with a responsive thermoplastic plate that’s less stiff than a carbon fiber counterpart.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch soon.

The style of golf has had a revival in recent years, and it’s been a long time coming. While almost every other popular sport had seen its style progress with the rest of society, just as rules and equipment naturally evolved over time, the style of golf was stuck in the middle of the 20th century, like a trap for particularly harmful sand.

Then, in the 2010s, pros like Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas and Billy Horschel brought fairway fashion into the 21st century. They’ve loosened up the vibe with bold prints, fun colors and slimmer cuts. Even better, from a competitive standpoint, they’ve made way for golf shoes that look and function like sports shoes.

Golf apparel companies quickly modernized, and major sportswear companies like Nike and Adidas adapted their existing sports shoes for golf. Today, you can find golf shoes that are indistinguishable from running shoes or basketball shoes except for the soles. Not only do they look better, they also perform better. The application of all technological advancements in footwear available in the 21st century has allowed golf shoes to keep pace with all other sports.

GFore MG4+

GFore is a relatively new brand, but it has brought exactly the kind of energy the sport needs to golf. He ignored traditional golf styling and decided to create a shoe from the ground up that would provide all the comfort and performance that modern shoe technology could provide.

The company’s goal has been achieved with the MG4+, a sneaker that looks nothing like a golf shoe by traditional standards and does everything you’d expect from a golf shoe.

The exterior is a seamless upper that is 100% waterproof while remaining breathable. A 3D molded heel provides excellent comfort and support. The insole features G4 nubs that support and massage your feet as you walk. The two-piece, knurled, sawtooth outsole provides traction in all conditions and at all angles.

FootJoy Tarlow Golf Shoe in White

FootJoy Tarlow

For most of the 20th century, golf shoes were little more than oxfords with spikes added to the soles. FootJoy honors this heritage with its Tarlow design. The upper resembles a classic straight-toe leather oxford with eloquent brogue detailing along the seams. The entire upper is full grain leather with a sheepskin lining, rivaling most oxfords.

From the start, however, the Tarlow has been business. A lightweight rubber sole is lined with FootJoy’s patented VersaTrax system to provide excellent traction from all angles, in all conditions. the Tarlow is ideal for anyone who wants to honor golf’s styling heritage while achieving premium performance.

Adidas Tour 360 22

Adidas is a relative newcomer to golf footwear, but it brings decades of experience in the manufacture of athletic footwear. A sturdy leather upper marked with the iconic angular three stripes delivers a classic country club-worthy look. Beneath that understated exterior, Adidas has packed these golf shoes with cutting-edge athletic shoe technology.

Its Boost sole technology has become the industry leader in comfort and springiness. It started in running shoes and became so successful that Adidas incorporated it into almost every other shoe line it makes. So of course it’s in the golf shoes.

The Tour 360 22’s Boost sole provides extra spring to your step to blast your way through 18 holes. Beneath that Boost sole is its Spikemore traction system, which features six circular screw-like spikes that sink like a bottle into a lid as you swing.

A pair of GFore Gallivanters in white

Before Gallivanter

The Gallivanter is GFore’s signature model because just like the brand itself, it respects the game but with a cheeky attitude. GFore took a standard oxford design and tricked it out with sleek details and progressive technology. The Gallivanter passes for a traditional golf shoe from afar, but you have to see it up close to appreciate the thought and passion that goes into it.

A removable footbed is not only comfortable but washable to extend the life of the shoe. Custom lugs provide improved traction. The full-grain leather upper has a subtle grain. A pop of blue along the sole is topped with an embossed Jolly Roger on the insole, secretly showcasing GFore’s irreverent love for golf.

Nike Air Max 90 Golf in Gray

Nike Air Max 90 Golf

The idea was simple here: take one of the most iconic sneakers of all time, Nike’s Air Max 90, and turn it into a golf shoe. The execution is everything you expect from a Nike performance sneaker.

The company has an unparalleled way of polishing cutting-edge sportswear technology with sleek design so you can have your cake and eat it, too. That is to say, you can look like you’re wearing a pair of Nike Air Max on the greens without hampering your golf game with a pair of basketball shoes.

However, these don’t have traditional spikes and really only provide enough traction to ground your swing. They are therefore aimed at a more casual golfer who wants to wear their game of shoes on the course.

Under Armor HOVR Drive 2 Golf Shoes in White

Under Armor HOVR Drive 2

Under Armor has taken a progressive approach to sportswear technology since the company’s inception. When she applied this progressive innovation to golf shoes, she created the HOVR Drive line. HOVR refers to its patented insole cushioning designed to support not just your foot, but your entire leg as you turn during your swing. More than that, it also returns your swing energy back to your body with elasticity.

The technology doesn’t stop there. The HOVR Drive 2 features a lightweight, breathable and waterproof outer membrane. This is the same type of molded heel that your running shoes come with for maximum support. You also get a 3D printed toe guard to protect against any errant swings, much like a steel toe work boot, but much lighter.

Ecco Biom C4 golf shoes in white

Ecco Biom C4

You probably know Ecco for its dress shoes, but the company also makes high-end sneakers and golf shoes. Just like with his dress shoes, he takes a modernist approach to the aesthetics of his golf shoes.

The Biom C4 looks more like a basketball shoe than a traditional golf shoe. The feel of this golf shoe is more like that of a basketball shoe, with a high ankle and extra cushioning. Unlike a basketball shoe, however, the exterior is made from a combination of Gore-Tex and Ecco’s Performance leather, so these shoes are both durable and water resistant. As is always the case with Ecco, comfort is paramount, and if that’s also your primary concern, then these are the golf shoes for you.

Ecco Biom C4
FootJoy Brown Golf Shoes

FootJoy Field

FootJoy’s Field Series is refined, yet understated in both looks and performance. The calfskin upper is a classic plain-toe oxford design, which is the type of dress shoe that will always look stylish without exclaiming as such. It complements both classic golf style and contemporary golf style.

The Field is equally at home at the most luxurious of country clubs as it is at your local public course. The modest package comes with all the performance you expect from FootJoy. A VersaTrax outsole provides traction in all conditions and an OrthoLite footbed provides all-day support. A waterproof finish keeps your feet dry no matter what.

FootJoy Field

The key to good golf shoes is a combination of comfort, traction and balance. Only a generation ago, golf shoes were nothing more than leather oxfords with spikes on the bottom. They may have looked great but offered little performance. The modern adoption of athletic technology and style has exponentially advanced contemporary golf footwear.

They’ve taken the comfort and support of basketball and the balance and traction of running to maximize your swing strength and accuracy and keep you comfortably on your feet all day. The wide range of looks available means you can go totally modern or stay classic and still get modern performance. Now that the rules of the old style have been swept away, it’s just a matter of finding the right golf shoes that match your personal style.

Continuing the expansion of its iconic Air Max line, leading sportswear brand, Nike, is set to release the Nike Air Max Scorpion. Based on the leaked images of this sneaker, it features the same Air VaporMax sneaker design with one-piece Flyknit uppers displaying a wide array of textures. Other amazing details of the shoe come in the form of well stitched Swooshes and functional Flywire heel tabs. A notable feature of the Nike Air Max Scorpion is the significant upgraded full-length Air Max sole unit which is described as harnessing Nike’s Air Max to deliver the comfort of tomorrow’s shoe today. According to Nicekicks, Nike’s Air Max line is best known for designing sneakers that are uniquely futuristic and disruptive. For example, the Air Max 2090 contains approximately 200% more Air than the OG Air Max 90, which makes the wearer feel like they are walking on Air. With the highly anticipated release of the Nike Air Max Scorpion, it will go down as one of the most air filled and chunky Nike sneakers to release. In this article, we are going to take a closer look at the Nike Air Max Scorpion.

Insight

Starting in 2022, Nike is gearing up to release another classic silhouette, centered around the legendary Air Max category, paying homage to some of the brand’s best-selling shoe models including the Air Max 90, Air Max 95 and Air. Max Plus, the Nike Air Max Scorpion ushers in a sleek and comfortable new sneaker design for the Air Max family. The most notable feature of the Nike Air Max Scorpion is the highly stacked platform sole design that seamlessly covers the bottom of the sneaker in a way that has never been included in any shoe designed by Nike. . While Nike hasn’t released any exact measurements for the sole of the Scorpion, it’s assumed to be a rise of about two centimeters for the heel portion. The main idea behind this bulbous and heavy air bubble sole construction was to increase user comfort in the same fantastic way as other Nike Air Max sneakers. The new Nike Air Max Scorpion is expected to continue the design of the Nike Air VaporMax shoe with the inclusion of a reinforced functional Flywire, tightly stitched Swooshes and a one-piece Flyknit upper, as well as a full Air Max heel tab improved length. The Nike Air Max Scorpion is expected to go on sale in September, but no official pricing announcement for the sneaker has yet been released.

Product Description

Nike has once again caught the public eye with the early release of the Air Max Scorpion. This new sneaker model features the same VaporMax design elements, allowing the wearer’s foot to sit atop the highly stacked midsole. To provide stability to the user while walking, the sneaker comes with a rubber outsole designed with additional treads on the heel and forefoot. The Nike Air Max Scorpion bears some similarities to the Nike Air VaporMax design through the design of the highly stacked platform sole. The sneaker is perfectly highlighted by a Flyknit upper adorned with a well-stitched Swoosh on the toe and heel. Nike is famous for designing iconic silhouettes, but their Air Max collection is arguably their standout category. This is mostly attributed to the release of iconic silhouettes such as Air Max 90, Air Max Plus, Air VaporMax, Air Max 95 and the upcoming Nike Air Max Scorpion. The Nike Air Max Scorpion is particularly special because it features a chunky, full-length Air Max sole unit, which Nike describes as bringing “the comfort of tomorrow, today.” Other notable features of the upcoming Nike Air Max Scorpion include a flexible Flyknit upper, reinforced functional Flywire, and a well-stitched Swoosh that’s pushed to the toe and heel. The sneaker will come in a Black-Light/Phantom Cream-Lemon Wash color scheme that perfectly showcases the shoe’s clean design. The Air Max Scorpion ushers in a new Nike sneaker design with its elongated, platform-like sole design that gives the shoe a stacked appearance. According to Highsnobiety, there are reports that Nike plans to continue to develop and expand its Air Max category while maintaining its iconic history.

Nike Air Max Scorpion Official Release Date

The Nike Air Scorpion is set to debut in September 2022, but according to reports, the official release date could be changed. Based on the leaked images of the upcoming Air Max Scorpion, it’s obvious that the sneaker will feature the same unique design as the Air VaporMax. This primarily includes a chunky, full-length Nike Air Max sole unit which the brand claims to use Enhanced Air. The Air Max Scorpion also features a Flyknit upper with a perfectly stitched Swoosh brought to the back of the sneaker, a yellow heel tab, and signature Nike branding to the toe and tongue. According to Sneakernews, the Nike Air Max Scorpion will only be available for sale on Nike.com and select Nike retailers.

Conclusion

The release of the Nike Air Max Scorpion marks the 35th anniversary of iconic sportswear brand Nike. At first glance, the Scorpion might be confused with the VaporMax, which is popularly known for its oversized sole. The sneaker also features a black Swoosh logo stitched in horizontal lines that work their way into the white midsole. 2022 will usher in a new era for the Nike Air Max model with the release of the Nike Air Max Scorpion. This iconic pair comes with similar designs to the Air VaporMax, which features a chunky, full-length platform Air Max sole unit. This sole is believed to have been increased to about two centimeters taller than VaporMax, making the wearer of the sneaker feel taller. The Air Max Scorpion also comes with his unique signature designs which include; a soft beige Flyknit upper, functional Flywire and a stitched Swoosh on the lateral side of the shoe. The shoe’s unique features are highlighted with a Phantom/Black-Light Cream-Lemon colorway. As mentioned earlier, the Air Max Scorpion is expected to release in 2022 in mid-September.

Over the past few years, Nike has created a number of exclusive women’s versions of the Air Force 1. The “Shadow” is arguably one of the most notable, as it continues to see new colorways long after its peers and successors have fallen by the wayside.

Coming into the fold just in time for Summer, the Air Force 1 Shadow will soon arrive in a flowery outfit, with bold colors sprinkled throughout the shoe. However, none of the palette is the most prominent, as they all merge together in a way that is characteristic of the season. Hints of orange mark the toe, collar and heel, often accompanied by pops of light green. And while the latter can mark many important details – like the dubrae inspired by the friendship bracelet or the “AIR” on the midsole – it is not more important than the adjacent blues, which, among other accessories, dress the flower-shaped logo on the tongue.

For a closer look at this new Air Force 1 Shadow, check out the official images below. While no release date has yet been reported, the design is enough to suggest it’s coming soon.

Nike Inc. is celebrating Puerto Rican Day 2022 with a fresh take on its iconic Nike Air Force 1 Low silhouette. Dubbed “Boricua”, the latest colorway is introduced in honor of this year’s Puerto Rican National Day, which was observed on June 12, 2022.

With the release of their next rendition “Boricua”, the shoe brand has been trying to make amends to Puerto Rico since their dedicated 2019 and 2020 releases were rooted in controversy.

The upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low “Boricua” shoe edition will release in June 2022. While the exact date is yet to be confirmed by the shoe brand, the shoes will retail for $120 each. Nike’s online stores, as well as a few affiliate sellers, will offer these playful sneakers for purchase.

Take a closer look at the imminent release of the Nike Air Force 1 Low (Image via Nike)

The American sportswear juggernaut is known for paying special homage to different corners of the globe in the form of bespoke sneaker designs. Over the years, the swoosh label has paid homage to American territory with different reinterpretations of its popular silhouettes, including Air Max 97, Nike Air Force 1 Low CMFT and Nike Air Trainers 1, to commemorate Puerto Rican National Day.

Due to the underlying issues with previous launches, the company has not been particularly successful in its business. The new colorway release for Puerto Rican Day 2022 is their way of making repairs in Puerto Rico.

These AF1s have a nice color palette including light blue, purple, pink, soft green, white, orange and bright red. The mismatched pastel colorblock covers the upper perfectly for a cheerful look.

For the unfamiliar, Dominoes is a popular game in Puerto Rico. Keeping this in mind, the shoemaker designed the toe caps to have numerous perforations resembling domino dotted patterns.

The toe area of each shoe is colored blue and orange. Likewise, contrasting eyelets are fashioned in pink and blue. Besides, the domino pattern is also used to make lace dubraes. While one features a domino, the other features “Puerto Rico” typography.

The tabs also feature distinct shades. While one has a red tint, the other has a soft purple tint. Showing some similarities, both shoes feature white laces, Nike Air branding, pristine white midsoles, and dark blue outsoles.

Perhaps the most attractive design element of this pair is the insole. Crafted in light blue, the insoles are loaded with graphics, featuring prints of “Mi Gente”, “Domino”, “Nike Air”, “Nueva York”, “Familia”, “Boricua”, and more.

Additionally, the panel swoosh adds a pop of white, while “Puerto Rico” branding sits on the right heel, overtaking the usual Nike Air logo. The model sits on a sleek white midsole and bright blue outsole, and all the different design elements come together for a bold yet sophisticated look. Finally, the shoes will arrive in custom packaging with a “Puerto Rico” printed envelope and “Familia” print inside.

If you’re looking to add summery pastel colors to your wardrobe, these sneakers might just be the ones for you. They’ll be released in June and you can pick them up for $120 through Nike’s official website.

Along with the aforementioned Nike Air Force 1, the brand also introduced the “Puerto Rico” iteration of the AF1 Low as part of the annual celebrations. These pairs dropped earlier this month on June 4, for $120.

Nike is continuing its longstanding association with surf and lifestyle apparel brand Stüssy, with two new Stussy x Nike Air Penny 2 colorways, set to arrive on June 30, 2022, according to initial reports.

These pairs, offered in two shades, namely “Black/Cobalt Pulse/White” and “White/Cobalt Pulse/Smoke Grey”, will be launched at a price of $200. The Stussy x Nike Air Penny 2 coloways will be available at the Stussy and Nike online stores.

After two collaborations on the fan-favorite Air Force 1, the new edition will spotlight Penny Hardaway’s 1996 edition, allowing Stussy to stretch his imagination a little beyond the highly acclaimed Swoosh brand models.

Learn more about Penny Hardaway’s ’90s classic that inspired the Stussy x Nike Air Penny 2 collab

Stussy x Nike Air Penny 2 Collaboration Released In Two Colorways >> Stussy and Nike will team up to release a collaborative version of Penny Hardaway’s second signature shoe, the Air Max Penny 2. https://t.co/Jo3yQr1OF5

Penny Hardaway wore the Air Penny 2 in the 1996-97 NBA playoffs. The second of his eponymous designs, it was one of Nike’s most advanced basketball shoes at the time. The pair featured an Air Max 2 unit positioned in the heel, Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot and a carbon fiber midfoot structure that made it ideal for fast-paced sport. fast.

The innovation didn’t stop there; the upper has been cushioned by the evolution of Penny 1’s “wing” reinforcement, with sections of foam wrapping around the leather base of the shoe. This shoe design was not only stylish but also functional.

Now, in 2022, Stussy’s planned Nike Air Penny 2 rollout will drop in two new hues, sources say. Penny Hardaway’s second signature sneaker will be reimagined and launched this summer as the newest addition to the fashion imprint’s long list of Nike partnerships.

Released exclusively on Travis Scott’s official e-commerce site, the Wheat colorway came as a surprise to fans, as it was originally intended to be a friend and family pairing only.

The sneaker opts for a dark beige hue across the upper in a suede construction, while a softer yellow tone appears on the mesh below. The black hue takes over the leather lining and accents, while hits of red can be seen on the laces, straps and back of the tongue.

Inverted swooshes and a distressed midsole complete the design. “Cactus Jack” branding appears on the insoles and the racing flag patch accents the heels. The wheat pair, which dropped exclusively at Travis Scott’s shop, was released as a raffle, for a retail price of $150.

The shoes opt for the Summit White/Light Bone/Light Smoke Gray colorway.

The overlays are dressed in a Light Gray colorway in Durabuck materials, while the collars are crafted from Tumbled Leather materials. The shoe comes dressed in a stunning color scheme, which looks muted at first glance, but colorful and iridescent in its detail. The official site reads,

“This Air Max Day, we pay homage to Paris as the City of Light. Premium nubuck and natural colors such as Summit White, Light Bone and navy accents reflect the city’s fashion and tradition, while iridescent paneled overlays on the upper make this Air Max 1 shine like “The City of Light”.

The woven tongue is marked with “3.26” lettering, which references the Air Max Day 2022, while “La Ville Lumière” lettering makes its way onto the outsoles. The look is complete with a white Air Max sole unit and a wrapped silver metallic keychain.

“Premium suede overlays transition from desert hues to worn blue, a cooling bright green Swoosh brings the calm of an oasis, and airy 2-tone mesh helps you stay comfortable when temperatures soar. Finally, the 3-tone laces nod to traditional hiking boots.”

Pops of bright green color accent the iconic swooshes and Nike branding to the tongue. The traditional Air Max bubbles are a gradient pale lime color, matching the tongue labels and insoles. The shoes were released on SNKRS on May 19, 2022 for a retail price of $150.

A Brief Look at the History of the Nike Air Max 1

The Nike Air Max 1 is inspired by the avant-garde open architecture from the inside out of the Center Pompidou in Paris. For the silhouette, shoe designer Tinker Hatfield cut a small window into the Air Max 1’s midsole, giving Nike Air technology visibility for the first time.

The technology consists of a resistant and flexible pressurized air bag, which gives the shoe more dynamism and spring. without compromising its basic structure. The Air sole unit helps maintain elasticity, keeping the shoes light and comfortable.

The swoosh’s trademark Air cushioning springs back to its original shape after absorbing the impact of body weight. The Air technology resulted in a significant change in shoe weight, without reducing performance eligibility.

The shoe’s design started as a cushioning experiment and quickly turned into a street and track icon. Over the years, even though the silhouette has been revamped and reinvented many times, its legacy remains the same.

When Nike gives you lemons…make a pair of Air Max 1s. On the 35th anniversary of what is arguably Nike’s biggest flagship (as far as the Air Max family goes way), the figure continues to receive a well-deserved wave of love.

For the first half of the year, collaborations reigned supreme over the silhouette, with Concepts’ three-piece offering on multi-patterned looks leading the way.

Once Air Max Day landed towards the end of March, the 1s once again stole the show as the Swoosh focused the majority of its efforts on its senior. From “Wabi-Sabi” to “City of Life”, the occasion turned into something of an AM1 celebration.

Next is an iteration that showcases the silhouette at its best – a great example of less is more.

Reminiscent of the shoe’s first colorway, “Bright Yellow” dresses the midsection and outsole in an extremely pale gray, almost white leather. The same premium fabrication also fills in the iconic mudguard and Swoosh in the namesake “Bright Yellow” coloring.

This summer-ready coloring also fills in the heel branding, tongue detailing, and internal air unit. For the remaining parts of the shoe, including the sporty mesh underlays, midsole, tongue, and lining, are all accented in a crisp white.

If this is a taste of what an Air Max 1 summer has to offer, we have a lot to look forward to. While no official release details have yet surfaced, you can expect the pair to land later this year.
