Diamondbacks Make Their Debut With Nike City Connect ‘Serpientes’ Jerseys | Arizona Sports

PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – To those who are afraid of snakes – Cuidado! The Diamondbacks launched its all new Nike City Connect “Serpientes” jerseys this week. The jersey is a Sonoran Sand color to reflect the Arizona Desert and the âSâ in the Serpientes print includes the snake wrapped around the word.
Four Peaks Brewing Co. will also host the official launch party new uniforms on Friday June 18. Fans will have the opportunity to meet former D-back players, purchase the new merch and taste the special ‘Serpientes’ beer from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Four Peaks is located at 1340 E 8th St # 104 in Tempé.
In addition to the âSerpientesâ design, the jersey also features a triangular patch of the âDBâ logo and a red circle, as well as the Arizona flag. According to Nike officials, âAbove the jock tag, a triangular patch symbolizes the link between the team and the Vallée du Soleil. The Diamondbacks’ alternative logo changes to a V for “valley”, and in the center of the design, a red circle embodies the sun.

The new range of Nike City Connect jerseys is a representation of the bond between the baseball club and the fans. âThe designs continue to explore a franchise’s connection to its city and fan base, each with distinct personalities, values, customs and traditions. Nike officials said.
The Diamondbacks were one of the inaugural seven clubs that participated in the collaboration. the Bear cubs, White Sox, Red Sox and Marlins also made their debuts with their jerseys this season, and the Giants and Dodgers are expected to make their debuts later in the season. The Diamondbacks are set to launch the new jerseys this Friday June 18 vs. Dodgers at 6:40 p.m.
