Hook the Look: Recreate Kristen Stewart’s Red Carpet Ensemble at an Affordable Price
We are now on the other side of another seemingly endless awards season, this one stretching due to the constraints of scheduling ceremonies during a pandemic. Sunday’s Oscars brought the most anticipated red carpet event of the year, and while seeing our favorite celebrities glam was a delight, I personally was very excited about Kristen Stewart’s takes on high fashion.
I find the style notoriously grungy, Dirtbag with an aesthetic tendency individual in designer duds to be hugely compelling, especially when she gets the chance to put her own spin on it.
And while the tuxedo shorts Stewart wore at this week’s Oscars were absolutely iconic, I thought the outfit she chose for The Hollywood Reporter’s Oscar nominees party was not only sleek and chic, but wearable and super easy to recreate. She paired a cropped tube top and midi pencil skirt by Australian designer Maticevski with Christian Louboutin’s The Hot Chick 100mm heels. True to form, Stewart rocked these high heels whenever she could, transforming into what appear to be beloved Nike Cortez sneakers with ’80s crinkle socks.
What I love the most about this set is how great it looks with Louboutins and laid back Nike kicks. It’s a fabulous example of how an extremely stylish look can be dressed up and enhanced, with minimal effort, using items you probably already have at home. I’m hopeful that one day stylists will let this woman who hates heels wear clothes that are more in line with her personal style, but until then, it’s fun to watch her appropriate clothes that are very feminine.
Keep reading to get everything you need to make Stewart’s cool look your own. The fact that it comes in separate pieces and two different shoe options makes it incredibly versatile and leaves room for personal interpretation that allows for mixing and matching to suit your own aesthetic. Wear it to upcoming weddings, romantic evenings and more.
