Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Kasina has teamed up with Nike once again to tell the story of an age-old Korean custom through 2022’s darling – the Air Max 1. Inspired by the Won-Ang Ducks, a set of ducks in Carved wood gifted to newlywed couples, Kasina transformed the Air Max 1 in two ways by applying traditional colors and materials that represent good fortune, naming the project “Made To Be Together.”
Both colorways were revealed piecemeal on Instagram by friends and family members who received the first pairs, but Kasina took to Instagram to make the official announcement after leaking snippets of a lookbook that places the shoes in the duck’s wild habitat. The harmony between concept and design is clear as Kasina once again boasts her impeccable taste while applying her custom logo on the tongue label.
A Kasina exclusive release is currently scheduled for June 4, while an SNKRS release will be released on June 8. Stay tuned for all the release details.
