Nike Air Huarache Black Pink Aqua DD1068-004
The Nike Air Huarache may not have as extensive a catalog of releases as other Tinker Hatfield-designed models, but it has established itself as a mainstay in the sneaker space over the past five years. Taking a break from her ever-popular all-‘white’ and all-‘black’ ensembles, the 31-year-old silhouette recently appeared with colors reminiscent of ‘South Beach’ and hidden camouflage patterns.
Unlike its recently resurfaced Mowabb style, the sneaker has kept things relatively tame on its signature neoprene base, sporting shades of gray and aqua. All of the synthetic leather overlays that appear on the upper indulge in a dark tone that contrasts sharply with the rest of the upper half. The aforementioned blue, however, works in tandem with the hot pink featured on the tongue label and “NIKE” branded heel clip to deliver a Miami-appropriate touch. Underfoot, the tooling opts for a tried-and-true “panda” color scheme, which also echoes the camouflage print stamped on the sock liners.
