Nike Air Huarache ‘Slate’ DH8143-400 release date

Despite revisiting all of its original colourways from 1991 to 2021, the Nike Air Huarache ends the year by dusting unoriginal, but equally important, styles from the archives. Concrete example ? : A “Shadow / Midnight Navy / Black” make-up rooted in the “Slate” version of 1992.

While not a one-on-one retro of the aforementioned drop, the next few sneakers reintroduce an almost identical color scheme and stun audiences today. Nubuck overlays applied to the forefoot and along the tongue feature a light gray tone reminiscent of what appeared on the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Gray” and other options under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella. The neoprene construction is visible at the tongue and through the midfoot and heel, then divides the darker tones, with “Midnight Navy” also leaving its mark on the brand’s components. As was the case on the Nike Huarache from 29 years ago, the shoes feature an all-black look on the still-comfortable sole.
