Social Status has officially announced their next collaboration with Nike around the Air Max Penny 1. Continuing their “Free Lunch” storyline in 2021, Social Status now presents the “Recess” collection, once again highlighting the importance of those community experiences that take place in school.
Social Status offers the Air Max Penny 1 in two ways: Black Sand and Desert Sand. Both feature premium suedes and leathers with interchangeable Swoosh logos representing the different sports played during the lunch break. Below the patches is the classic Swoosh logo with the electrifying lines of the original. On the heel is the co-branded logo signifying the latest Social Status x Nike special projects.
In announcing this collaboration, Social Status also presents the short film Recess directed by the Turner Brothers.
Release Info: An online draw for the Social Status x Nike Air Max Penny 1 “Recess” begins July 2, as does an in-person draw at all Social Status and Whitaker Group stores. A TWG Discord draw will also be available for members only. The entire collection is set to go live July 15, 2022. Both pairs are priced at $190 and come in men’s 3.5/women’s 5 to men’s 15/women’s 16.5.
