Nike Air Max Plus “Reverse Sunset” release information

When Nike Designer Sean McDowell first conceptualized the Air Max Plus, he was inspired by the way palm trees sway in the evening breeze in Florida. Combining that inspiration with a vibrant orange and red color palette, McDowell created a cult Air Max silhouette and built her most famous makeup, namely the Air Max Plus “Sunset”. It’s been 23 years since “Sunset” first came out in 1998, but Nike Sportswear continues its legacy with a new “Reverse Sunset” makeup that offers a reverse take on OG “Sunset” styles.

Where the original “Sunset” featured an ombré style red and orange mesh upper with wavy black overlays, the “Reverse Sunset” uses a black mesh upper and shifts the orange and red ombre fades to the overlays themselves. Red Swooshes add a bit more flair to the midfoot, and the iconic yellow TN badges – the embellishment that gives the shoe its nickname “TN” – return to the tongue and heel. Rubberized black mudguards and heels add a new texture to the mix, with white midsoles containing orange Air Max units and a red upper in the midfoot finalizing the look.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Reverse Sunset” will be arriving in retailers in the coming weeks. Its MSRP is set at US $ 160.
