Nike Air More Uptempo “Copy/Paste” DQ5014-068
Throughout 2021, the Nike Air More Uptempo has appeared in some of the most iconic colorways in its catalog to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Though the momentous occasion has come and gone, the 1996 Nike Basketball classic hasn’t fallen back into the archives, instead emerging in playful styles like a new “Copy/Paste.”
Also set to include popular silhouettes under the Nike Sportswear banner, the upcoming collection sees the Swoosh copy some of its most commonly used graphics and paste them over the silhouette associated with Scottie Pippen. The Air More Uptempo retains all of its signature details – especially the bulbous “AIR” text on the profiles – but tops it off with non-standard swoosh logos of varying sizes. The sock liners also feature layered branding, with the “Copy/Paste” theme appearing much more prominently on the insole given the “glitched” application. The rest of the shoe indulges in a traditional nubuck material, with most of the upper indulging in a clean “Iron Grey” tone; semi-translucent outsoles opt for a blueish “Anthracite” hue that adds yet another refreshing touch to the Air Max offspring.
No firm release date has been confirmed by the brand, but that should change as spring approaches. While you wait for a Nike.com drop, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.
