Nike Blazer Mid ’77 “Mid Grey” DM0178-001
Though far removed from the decade that spawned it, the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 continues to bring late 20th century style to today’s audience. For his latest set, the proposal made for basketball emerged in “Medium Gray” suede.
Similar to dozens of Nike SB modified iterations, the newly remade pair indulge in hairy fabric across much of its upper. Toe and lateral forefoot reinforcement also follow, while profile swooshes introduce smooth synthetic leather into the mix. Returning further to its 1970s debut, the mid-top Nike Blazer features a light yellow tone to the aforementioned sidewall logo and underfoot sole, the latter component resembling the sea of “neo-vintage” customs that have engulfed countless social media feeds over the past two years. Together, each component helps create a proposition that is equal parts “old-fashioned” and “fresh,” a combination that NIKE, Inc. has mastered.
Enjoy official images of the pair below and anticipate a Nike.com launch date as spring and summer approaches.
