Nike’s efforts to embrace sustainability as part of its “Move To Zero†initiative are progressing smoothly as innovative recycled materials find their way into new styles of footwear. The eco-friendly design continues with Nike revisiting the Nike Space Hippie 01 for a new colourway that contrasts black with neon greens.
This new colourway features a black Space Waste Yarn upper which is offset by ‘Electric Green’ detailing on the front. These neon elements include laces and the signature webbing puller, which provide a futuristic look. On both sides, Swooshes have been sewn with white thread for a graphic aesthetic. The base rests on a “Carbon Green†sole, made of Crater foam. Such a material not only provides the greatest comfort, but also guarantees a unique look attributed to the colored spots present.
