Editor’s Notes: Earlier this year, Sean Wotherspoon teamed up with adidas to offer his third eco-friendly sneaker collaboration with the brand. For their third offer, the duo proposed an original creation in the form of the Superturf Adventure.
The silhouette used recycled materials including colorful corduroy that brings back fond memories of Wotherspoon’s beloved Nike Air Max 97/1. With its eco-friendly design, colorful construction and Pinocchio character, Jiminy Cricket, embroidered on the tongue, the initial colourway was as fun and friendly as it gets in the sneaker world.
For those fans who missed the first release, don’t worry; Sean Wotherspoon’s second colourway of the beginner silhouette appeals to the atmosphere for an extra pop of color.
atmos is well known for its bold touches on popular sneakers, such as the Air Max 1, so when you see its name on a collaboration, you know you won’t use the word subtle to describe it.
While shiny, the collaborative three-way sneaker isn’t multi-colored like its predecessor. Bright safety orange fills the tongue, laces and lining, extending to the medial and side underlays and heel. Balancing the must-have hue is a balanced offering of cream, gray and black.
Once again, the removable pouch (or baggy sneaker) makes its appearance, keeping alive the wave set in motion by the Prada x adidas Forum.
Additional clothing including outerwear, cargo pants, vest, and t-shirts will come out with the sneakers. It should be noted, however, that these were not created in conjunction with atmos.
