Choosing which pair of sneakers to buy this week is going to be tricky.

Sportswear giants Adidas and Nike both have their own Grail-worthy collaborations that you’ll want to get your hands on, especially if you’re a longtime collector. Art lovers, on the other hand, may be wowed by Converse’s collection of Chucks dedicated to Jean-Michel Basquiat, whose paintings have adorned everything from Saint Laurent bags to Tiffany & Co. campaigns in recent times.

Classic Converse kicks got the street art treatment thanks to a collaboration with Jean-Michel Basquiat, or, more precisely, his estate. From wreaths to dinosaurs, motifs from the legendary New York artist adorn a range of shirts and shoes, including the Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers above. Make your choice; the entire collection is finally available for sale in Singapore.

CP Company x Adidas Spezial Italia

CP Company and Adidas have long been staples in a football fan’s (or “casual”) wardrobe, so the fact that the two brands are teaming up is quite remarkable. The Italia SPZL sneakers from the collaboration are even more so, which are in white full-grain leather and feature sporty green and red details. The sleek shoes were modeled by Luke Shaw of Manchester United, although you hardly need footballer’s approval to see they are a must have.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Wave Monarch

Another Grail-worthy drop this week comes from Dutch streetwear label Patta and Nike. Seasoned sneakerheads may remember the frenzy surrounding the duo’s limited-edition Air Max 1s in the 2000s. The hype hasn’t died down now that the two brands are launching the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Wave. , which displays an old-school look that will appeal to those who are fed up with super technical or futuristic silhouettes. The sneakers get their name from their groovy mudguard, which is all the more striking in the “Monarch” colourway shown above.

Boss x Russell Athletic Trainers

Boss and Russell Athletic recall the 90s with their second collaborative collection. Along with bomber jackets and sporty sweatshirts, there is also a range of luxuriously crafted sneakers in leather and suede. These are designed with retro Americana references, including the Boss logo reworked in a classic baseball font. End your week with a sweet treat in the form of these new Dunks, created as part of the “Free Lunch” sneaker collection from American brand Social Status. The “Strawberry Milk” colourway pictured above is inspired by the drink that typically comes in a milk carton, and the sneakers are even playfully printed with “ingredients” on the side.
