Undefeated Air Jordan 4 “Olive” 2022 Release Date
UPDATE: According to @zsneakerheadz the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 is not releasing. Instead, a similar “Olive Canvas” colorway is expected in Fall 2022.
A lot has changed since 2005: Steve Jobs and Apple launched the first iPhone; Kanye West changed the course of hip-hop, his name to “Ye” and the stamp of adidas with Yeezy; and COVID-19 has changed lives irreversibly. Of course, the list of events of the past 17 years includes countless more difficult-to-predict items, with one sneaker-related case landing arguably outside the most imaginative set of predictions: an Air Jordan release. 4 “Olive” from Undefeated. from 2005.
You see, the reimagined fourth signature sneaker in Michael Jordan’s best-selling line never hit retail. Instead, Los Angeles-based boutique founders James Bond and Eddie Cruz auctioned off and raffled off all 72 pairs of the Air Jordan model, after being the first time the Jordan brand collaborated with a third on one of its main products. Subsequent projects with UNDFTD have garnered notable praise from NIKE, Inc. over the years, but this has not translated into widespread and near-unanimous admiration for the collaboration inspired by Bond’s MA-1 flight jacket. and Cruz.
In 2018, an unauthorized Jordan 4 sample from Undefeated surfaced through credible third-party sources, which got many sneaker enthusiasts excited about the potential for a proper launch of the shoes, but nothing happened. been revealed in the last four years. Rumors of the Los Angeles-based team’s original retro have resurfaced time and time again since July 23, 2005, but their intensity seems different this time around – perhaps because the most visible supporter this time around is the Twitter user @MrUnloved1s, an Air Jordan 1 enthusiast (obsessive) who has gained a strong track record of extremely early reports of the model’s upcoming releases. Therefore, any speculation may be just that, but in the odds of the pair hitting retail for the first time, it’s very likely that Bond, Cruz, their team and their extended Jumpman family will do something noticeably different to honor the pair. one of the most – famous Jordans of all time – perhaps an exclusive access situation to the Off-White “The 50”?
No one from either party involved has commented on the rumor that UNDFTD’s ultra-limited Jordan 4 will finally see a retail release in March – or anytime for that matter – via Nike SNKRS or elsewhere, but if that changes, we’ll be sure to keep you posted. In the meantime, enjoy some product shots of the upcoming shoes.
