Welcome to SNX DLX, your weekly roundup of the best sneakers on the market. This week we only have a few notable offers – get used to it, at this point the year of sneakers is essentially over. Sure, there are still a handful of year-end drops and holiday promotions to look forward to, but for the most part, it’s safe to start saving your money for all the sneaker drops that are sure to come in. 2022.
That’s not to say this week is banger free. We have new releases from Kerwin Frost, a very classy collaboration between NOAH and Adidas, as well as some notable Nike releases, namely the Jordan 1 in burgundy color. find your favorite Christmas sneakers.
Adidas Kerwin Frost Forum Low Benchmate
Multi-trait personality Kerwin Frost already has a successful collaboration with radical superstar Superstuffed Adidas under his belt, and he’s now back with two new drops, a high top and a low cut forum. The high-top version is a bit extreme for my taste (fake teeth and eyeballs on a sneaker? Get out of here with that Kerwin), but I love the Benchmate cartoon, which combines Frost’s playful personality with one of the best silhouettes of Adidas.
It’s slightly reminiscent of Kanye from the College Drop Out days with his cartoon characters and colorful palette. The sneaker got a first drop at this year’s ComplexCon and by day two a good chunk of the audience was already rocking them, so it’s a year-end hit and would make a great gift for the Frost Head in your family. .
The Adidas Kerwin Frost Forum Low Benchmate is now available at a retail price of $ 180. Pick up a pair through Adidas Confirmed.
Nike ACG Air Mowabb Limestone / Gray Olive
Most of Nike’s greatest silhouettes came from the mind of Tinker Hatfield – the Air Max 1, Air Jordan 3, Air Max 90, Jordan 4 and 5, all designed by Hatfield, but a lot of people forget some of his weirdest designs. The Air Huarache has made a recent comeback, and now Nike is digging deep into Hatfield’s coffers in an attempt to try to make the ACG Air Mowabb a thing again.
Released this week in a light Limestone and darker Olive Gray colourway, the Air Mowabb is back! Featuring an inner bottle with a premium upper, the modern Mowabb has been updated with a more stretchy collar and softer foam midsole, two design changes that I think will help hiking sneakers and trail runners to find their audience.
Adidas x NOAH Lab Race
This week, Adidas is once again teaming up with New York streetwear label NOAH for a retro-inspired set of sneakers. The Lab Race features a chunky paneled silhouette crafted from Adidas’ new Primegreen material, which is 50% recycled content without the virgin polyester used in the construction of the sneaker.
The upper is made from a mix of mesh and faux suede and drops in your choice of a dark earthy blue, brown and cloud white colourway, or an ivory yellow and green halo.
The Adidas NOAH Lab Race is set to release on November 18 for a retail price of $ 200. Get a pair through the Adidas Confirmed app.
Adidas x NOAH Vintage Runner
It seems like Adidas and NOAH can’t stop collaborating and with the success rate they operate, we’re not complaining. Taking inspiration from the sneaker style of the 80s, the Vintage Runner combines 80s runway-style sneakers with a modern mesh and suede upper and Adidas Primegreen material.
It’s a bit of vintage sneaker style mixed with modern touches. This is by far the best outing of the week in our opinion. The Vintage Runner comes in brown, blue and red, or green, gold and white makeup.
The Adidas x NOAH Vintage Runner is set to release on November 18 for a retail price of $ 140. Get a pair through the Adidas Confirmed app.
Lazy Oaf x Dr. Martens Collection
Dr. Martens, continuing his year-long trend of connecting with the most unexpected collaborators, is launching a collection of three sneakers in partnership with playful London-based Lazy Oaf. Lazy Oaf takes the Sinclair, Bex and Bethan Buckled Mary Jane lace-up shoes for this collection by adding the brand’s happy / sad graphic pattern as well as printed laces, bows and other playful touches to the iconic silhouettes of Dr. Marten. .
The three shoes in the collection have customizable aspects to offer the wearer the opportunity to infuse their personality into each model.
The Dr. Martens Lazy Oaf collection is scheduled for release on November 18th. Retail prices for the Bex, Bethan, and Sinclair are $ 140, $ 160, and $ 210, respectively. Pick up a pair online at Lazy Oaf or Dr. Martens.
Patta x Air Max 1 Rush Maroon
Our favorite Amsterdam sneaker store Patta has teamed up with Nike again for a new wavy redesign of the Air Max 1 in an eye-catching Rush Maroon colourway. Featuring a leather and nylon upper, the Rush Maroon features a metallic silver base with Pure Platinum inserts and a Rush Maroon mudguard.
In the US, it may sound like another dope collaboration between Nike and Patta, but it has a deeper meaning in Amsterdam. The city’s iconic sneaker, according to Patta, is the Air Max 1, so they’ve gone the extra mile to commemorate this release. Each pair drops in a collector’s box with a silver-plated commemorative charm bracelet.
Aside from the special packaging, we’re just excited about how this color combination looks.
The Patta x Air Max 1 Rush Maroon is slated for release on November 19 for a retail price of $ 193. Pick up a pair in Patta or at aftermarket sites like GOAT.
